NEOCANDO’s Neighborhood Data Warehouse, a freely-accessible tool that helps people in Northeast Ohio gain insight into neighborhood well-being, has recently been updated with the latest available information for a number of topic areas.

You will now find:

2018 data for:

  • USPS vacancy

2017 data for:

  • Crime
  • Juvenile delinquency
  • Public assistance
  • Mortgage lending
  • Property information

and 2016 data for:

  • Child maltreatment
  • CMSD (Cleveland Metropolitan School District)
  • Births
  • Deaths

We’ve also added a section focusing on neighborhood health attributes. Currently, this section provides information on childhood lead poisoning.

The NEOCANDO Neighborhood Data Warehouse enables users to pull information from a wide array of topic areas all linked together by neighborhood geography, all at no-cost. This portal links data from local and federal sources at the census tract level through the county level, spanning topic areas from demographic information on population, poverty, and education, to social and economic information like public assistance use, crime, and child maltreatment, to information on the community built environment like home mortgage lending and median sales figures. Geographies are standardized across time so that information is comparable across topics and time periods.
