NASW Ohio roundNASW Ohio Chapter’s regional conference, The Science of Social Work, will be in Beachwood, Ohio, on Friday, May 1. It will provide the tools to integrate new research on the mind-body connection into practice, from neuroscience to bioethics to trauma informed care. This is a great local in-person event where alumni, social workers, counselors, and chemical dependency licensees can earn up to 7 CEUs, including 3 hours of Ethics and 3 hours of Supervision.

The Mandel School will have a table at the conference, and four Mandel School alumni are presenting at it:

+ Stacy Simera, MSSA 1996: “Supervision”

+ Maureen Riley Behringer, MSSA 1994, and Felicia Fago, PhD 2012: “Integration into Child Development and Welfare”

+ Richard Romaniuk, MSSA 1999: “Integration into Mental Health and Chemical Dependency”
