Friday, March 9th
- Depart Cleveland, Ohio (normally travel through Amsterdam)
Saturday, March 10th
- Evening arrival at Kiev airport
- Airport transfer to lodging
Monday, March 12th
- Visit to
Sunshine Rehabilitation Center (Trebukhiv, Brovarsky rayon, Kiev region) 10:00
a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

- Sunshine Children’s Center is a private, Christian Charity. It has been established to
help street children and children in need of a family by giving them a new home and restoring their
physical, mental/emotional and spiritual health. The Center’s most important goal is for every
individual child to achieve fulfillment, independence and a joyful life.

Tuesday, March 13th
- Visit to
Father's house rehabilitation center (Petrivske, Kiev-Sviatoshynsky rayon, Kiev
region), 10:00 a.m. - 04:00 p.m.

- Father’s House is recognized at all government levels as the leader among child care and
support programs in the Ukraine. More than 12 departments aim at supporting homeless
children. The organization actively introduces innovation with children; it assists with the
development of organizations and programs that help children in the Ukraine and other
countries.

Wednesday, March 14th
- Visit to
Trebukhiv school ("Relief nursery" model) 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

- The Relief Nursery is based on a model from Eugene, Oregon. It’s mission is to prevent the
cycle of child abuse and neglect by early intervention that focuses on building successful and
resilient children, strengthening parents and preserving families. The nursery cares for
children 0-5. You will have the opportunity to observe staff and children as well as play with
and care for infants and toddlers.
- Dinner with Tim McQuillin and his wife Lydmilla.

- Tim has a MBA from WSOM/CASE. He and his wife (and son) live and work in Kiev. He
will share his observations as an ex-pat now very connected to the Ukraine.
Thursday, March 15th
- Visit to Uman

- Uman Boarding school, Kolontai Foundation, Uman and Umansky rayon (“Relief Nursery” model) 9:00
a.m. - 7:00 p.m
- These programs are a 2 hour drive from Kiev. The Kolantai Foundation is a NGO that
aims to help handicapped people and orphans. They have medical and social services
including:
- Early social
rehabilitation
- Medical rehabilitation
- Life skills development
- Individual education
programs for children 6-16
- Professional education
- About 50 children attend the center. Annually, the center serves about 300 children with
disabilities.
- The Uman Boarding School is a state institution for orphans.
Friday, March 16th
- Visit to "Dzherela", a NGO that works with children with special needs. 10:00 a.m. - 4:00
p.m.
Saturday, March 17th
Sunday, March 18th
- Return to Cleveland, Ohio
