About the Harris Library

The Lillian & Milford Harris Library is the main library that serves the Mandel School and is one of the few professional libraries administered by a school of social work. Founded in 1916, the Harris Library is the oldest social work library in the United States.

The collection covers child welfare, marriage and the family, aging, mental health, health care, international social work, community development, social policy, substance abuse, and nonprofit management.
