Idealist.org, a project byActions Without Borders, serves as an online networking site for nonprofit organizations.  The website contains a directory of more than 61,000 nonprofit and community organizations in 165 countries and has comprehensive listings for job and volunteer opportunities.  There is a Resources section which has The Nonprofit FAQ and the Community Action Center.  [Listed May 18, 2001.  Last updated August 16, 2007.] (INC)

The Independent Sector is a coalition of nonprofits, foundations, and corporations committed to strengthening the not-for-profit sector. Information Technology in Social Work Education and Practice (PDF)
This links you directly to the PDF version of an annotated bibliography on information technology in social work education and practice produced by Ph.D. Fellows at the Lillian F. & Milford J. Harris Library, Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, Case Western Reserve University. Institute for Geriatric Social Work
The website for the Institute for Geriatric Social Work located at Boston University School of Social Work, offers an e-newsletter (in the Publications section) that provides regular updates to social work practitioners, educators, service providers and policy makers on important initiatives nationwide that support geriatric social work. Institute for Research on Poverty
Produced by the University of Wisconsin-Madison, this site focuses on research around the causes and consequences of poverty and social inequality in the United States. The home page provides answers to frequently asked questions about poverty. The Research section focuses on funded projects, including Welfare Reform in Wisconsin. InteliHealth
A consumer-oriented site funded by Aetna, InteliHealth distills health information from a variety of sources including the Harvard Medical Schools and the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. InterAction
InterAction is a coalition of over 160 relief, development and refugee agencies. The site provides links to the home pages of many of the organizations, as well as information on worldwide relief efforts, the work of the Commission on the Advancement of Women, jobs and volunteer opportunities, and press releases. International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC)
The ICRC directs and coordinates international relief efforts relating to its humanitarian mission. The ICRC Worldwide section provides ICRC data on over 60 countries which permanently host the ICRC and the 80 countries where they conduct their operations. The Humanitarian Law section includes information on landmines, children and war, and refugees. International Council on Social Welfare
Founded in 1928, this non-governmental organization represents a range of grassroots national and international groups seeking to advance social welfare, social justice and social development. International Federation of Social Workers (IFSW)
The International Federation of Social Workers (IFSW) is a global organization striving for social justice, human rights and social development. IFSW works towards this end through the development of work, best practices and international cooperation between social workers and their professional organizations. Internet Crimes Against Children Task Foce Training & Technical Assistance Program
The ICAC Task Force Program was created  to help state and local law enforcement agencies enhance either investigative response to offenders who use the internet, online communication systems, or other computer technology to aid sexually exploited children.  ICAC offers training & technical assistant programs in support of their Internet Crimes Against Children initiatives.  For training and more information contact the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office in Cleveland, Ohio.
