Lillian & Milford Harris Library
The Lillian & Milford Harris Library at the Mandel School advances and informs social work scholarship, research, education and practice by providing access to multiple information resources and providing information literacy programming. It is the main library that serves the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences and is one of the few professional libraries maintained by a school of social work, as well as the oldest social work library in the United States. The Harris Library has existed in various locations around campus since 1916.
Students, staff, faculty, alumni, and the social work community are welcome to visit the Harris Library and use its resources. The collection provides in-depth information related to social work including child welfare, marriage and the family, aging, mental health, health care, international social work, community development, social policy, substance abuse, and nonprofit management.
