Financial Aid

Full Time Students

To renew your scholarship, you must complete the 2014-2015 Free Application for Federal Student
Aid (FAFSA).  The FAFSA link is: http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/.   To authorize release
of your FAFSA information to Case Western Reserve University, the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Federal School Code is
E00084. The deadline to apply for federal financial aid is May 16, 2014 but please apply as early
as possible.

If you need to make corrections to your FAFSA, you can do so at the FAFSA web site. NOTE: Apply for the Grad Plus loan after May 15, 2014 if you need additional funding for summer (after July 1, 2014 for fall).

In addition to completing the FAFSA, you must complete the Case Financial Aid
Application.  The 2014-15 form is now available and it is located at My Financial Aidhttp://financialaid.case.edu/myfinancialaid.aspx

The Office of University Financial Aid will begin processing financial aid for graduate students
shortly. You can view all your financial activity at My Financial Aid.  Please note the following:

1.    The Memo of Assistance (MOA) is a form that each graduate and professional school completes.  If you are registered for summer or fall, the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School will update the MOA by the end of May. You do not need to complete this step.

2.    Summer tuition for 2014 is $19,295 for 12-16 credit hours and a per credit hour charge of $1,287 applies for credit hours in excess of 16.  Tuition and health insurance rates for 2014-15 are listed on the tuition page. There will be a new health and wellness fee added to your account each semester starting in fall 2014. Opt-op instructions are include on this site as well.

3.    Summer loans/funds will disburse after July 4, 2014.  Summer tuition bills will be emailed after that date and late fees will be assessed after July 14, 2014.

4.    No refund advances will be issued for summer unless your financial aid file is complete and you have been awarded grants and loans that exceed tuition and fees.

5.    12- month students will not receive their stipend if their financial aid file is not complete by May 2, 2014.

Stipends

Time sheets must accurately reflect the student’s field placement hours and be signed by the student and Field Instructor and returned to the Financial Aid Office monthly.  Failure to do so may impact the student’s receipt of work study funds.

Students can view personal payroll information at: http://www.case.edu/hcm You will need your Case User ID and email password to access your account.

Intensive Weekend Students

1.    Intensive Weekend students graduating in the fall semester are eligible for summer federal financial aid.  If you need additional financial aid assistance, you may want to consider borrowing from the Direct (Grad) Plus or Custom Signature loan, which are loans that require a credit check.  Please note: If you would like to apply for the Grad Plus loan, please do so after May 15, 2014.

2.    MSASS scholarships will be awarded for summer 14, fall 14 and spring 15  per the terms and conditions of your scholarship award offer.

4.    Direct loans, Direct (Grad) Plus and private loans will be processed for the entire academic year.

There will be a new wellness fee added to your account each semester starting in fall 2014. Opt-op instructions are include on this site as well.
