About

Dr. Tucker works to build the capacities of individuals, teams and organizations to promote transformational development and social change. He teaches graduate courses in international social development and nonprofit management. He studies organizational development, change and institutional sustainability among local development and social service organizations in Sub-Saharan Africa. Dr. Tucker also partners with US and international organizations, assisting them in strengthening their leadership, management and program development/implementation capabilities.
Dr. Tucker has been working in international social development since 1993. Prior to joining The Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, Dr. Tucker held a variety of positions in the field – most recently with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Washington, D.C, Jakarta, Indonesia and Nairobi, Kenya.
