Alternative Break Flint will make its third journey to Flint, Michigan to provide assistance and supplies city-wide to address the ongoing water crisis. A Campus-Wide Supply Drive was launched to collect water, wipes, filters, and non-perishable food items for Flint residents.  Last year, the group was able to share donations with five community partners, including a high school, and men’s shelter and a soup kitchen.

The following items are being collected now through March 9th:

Canned Tuna, Salmon, Chicken; Peanut Butter and Jelly; Low Sodium Soups; Canned, Jars or Cups of FRUIT; Evaporated Milk; Dry or Canned Beans Pasta or Tomato Sauce(s); Boxed Pasta (Wheat, Regular); Cereal and Crackers; Fruit or Granola bars; Baby Formula and Baby Wipes; Clorox Wipes; Water Filters (Pur brand preferred)

Especially WATER!!! GALLON JUGS to bathe, wash dishes and wash clothing; BOTTLED WATER for drinking and cooking

There are drop off locations around campus, including Yost hall, Kelvin Smith Library lobby, the Law School, the Social Justice Institute, and Thwing Center.
