It was a record-setting Day of Giving 2017 on June 14 for the Mandel School! A total of $19,485 was raised from 357 donors — doubling both donors and dollars from last year’s winning effort. Special THANKS to everyone who was ALL[in] to provide scholarship support to Mandel School students.

The school also received a total bonus of $10,000 from the university: $5,000 for exceeding our school’s donor goal, plus $5,000 for having the highest amount of donors on campus.

We were also thrilled that our Centennial Co-Chairs John Yankey, Kathy Farkas, and Denise Gibson issued their own matching challenge that day and motivated even more gifts!

Day of Giving is our annual opportunity to come together to inspire and celebrate our wonderful alumni, students, faculty, and staff in a fast-paced 24-hour campaign to raise money for our Annual Fund and help us win BIG matching gifts!

Dean Cleve Gilmore and his wife, Linda, even put on their dancing shoes to ask you to join them on Day of Giving:

About Day of Giving 2017:

There is an awesome challenge on the table — a challenge based on participation that the Mandel School won last year:

  • If we meet our donor goal of 113 people, $5,000 will be awarded to the Mandel School Annual Fund!
  • If the Mandel School has the highest participation percentage at the end of the campaign, we will receive an additional $10,000!

That’s an extra $15,000 toward student scholarships every time a person gives at ANY amount! Here’s how you can take the challenge and go #CWRUAllIn:

  • Make a gift of any amount from now through noon EST on June 15!
  • Follow along on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to see (and share!) in the excitement and to keep track of our progress toward winning the $15,000 matching gift!
  • Challenge others to make a gift, too!

Thank you in advance for joining this opportunity to make a huge difference in a short period of time while creating lasting impact for the Mandel School, its students, and our entire family of Change Agents.
